Here are some tips to get your Interlibrary Loan items faster!

When creating your account:

1.  Make sure you use your NSU username as your ILLiad username OR use your NSU email address

2.  When it asks for CAMPUS ADDRESS, please enter your home or mailing address

3.  Be sure you enter your status (undergraduate, graduate, faculty or staff) and major (if you're not sure, choose the closest option)

When ordering items:

1.  Give us as much information as you can - the more you give us, the less we have to find to complete your request

2.  Fill in the WHERE DID YOU FIND THE ITEM CITED box - we don't request your item from other libraries until we're sure the citation is correct - if we know where you found the citation, we can go directly there to verify; otherwise, we have to search several places first

3. If you need an article, select REQUEST A PHOTOCOPY (sorry that's not more clear)

Other good things to know:

1.  Read the FIRST TIME USER info

2.  Dissertations are usually held only by the institution for which it was written - some libraries will loan them to us & some won't - we'll do our best to get you the item, as we do with all items, but many dissertation requests go unfilled

3.  Check your ILLiad account for request status and CHECK YOUR EMAIL - we notify you using an account that will show NSU as the sender...but we'll usually put something in the subject line that indicates it's from us
